The Firm was founded by Dana C. Mitchell, III on January 1, 1985, and has been in its present location for 24 years.

DANA C. MITCHELL, III:

Principal and founding attorney, Dana C. Mitchell, III, is listed as an “AV-RATED” attorney in Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings* (highest rating) and in Woodward/White’s Best Lawyers in America (2006 – 2009)(Personal Injury Law).

Mr. Mitchell has personally tried to “jury verdict” over 100 civil trials in State and Federal Courts. Mr. Mitchell has also tried over 100 cases before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission. He has appeared and argued appellate cases before the South Carolina Supreme Court, South Carolina Court of Appeals, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission, all on multiple occasions.

HAL W. ROACH:

Hal W. Roach has been affiliated with the MITCHELL LAW FIRM since 1991. He is “BV-Rated” by the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings*. He is originally from Columbia, Kentucky. After receiving his law degree from the University of Kentucky 1987, Mr. Roach was assigned to the Charleston, South Carolina Naval Base as a Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. After leaving active duty with the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1991, he was an Assistant Solicitor in the White-Collar Crime Division of the Greenville County Solicitor’s Office.

Mr. Roach spent several years as a contract public defender for Greenville County where he defended indigent defendants charged with all manner of offenses from drunk driving to murder. Mr. Roach currently practices in the areas of Personal Injury Law, including automobile accidents, truck accidents, Workers’ Compensation Law, and Social Security Disability Law. He practices before the South Carolina Magistrate and Circuit Courts, the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission, and in Social Security Disability administrative hearings.
